Quick Facts
- Size: 4.5 – 5 inch leg span
- Temperament: Very docile; prone to jumping rather than biting
- Care Level: Beginner ⭐
Pink Toes are active, inquisitive spiders that spend most of their time in elaborate silk tunnels at the top of their habitat. While they are fast, they are remarkably non-defensive. Note: They have a unique defense mechanism where they may launch waste at a perceived threat—so keep your face away during enclosure maintenance!
🏡 Care Requirements
Cross-ventilation is mandatory. Use a tall enclosure with plenty of air holes on the sides to prevent stagnant air. Provide vertical cork bark and silk plants for climbing. Keep substrate mostly dry with a full water dish at all times. Avoid heavy misting; instead, provide a light spray once a week to let them drink from webbing. Temperatures: 72-82°F.
