Desert Hairy Scorpion (Hadrurus arizonensis) – juvenile to adult

The Desert Hairy Scorpion is the largest scorpion in North America. These impressive desert dwellers can reach 5-6 inches in length and display beautiful yellow coloration with dense setae (hairs), making them fascinating display animals for scorpion enthusiasts.

Despite their large size, these scorpions have relatively mild venom. They’re impressive display animals with their hairy appearance. Hardy desert species adapted to extreme temperature fluctuations. More docile than many scorpion species but should still be handled with caution.
